October in the Hermosa Beach City School District means 2 things: the annual HVPTO Halloween Carnival and the Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk benefitting HBEF!  Be ready for lots of communications coming your way about these two events – they are among the largest fundraisers for their respective organizations and we need our community out in force for both.

HVPTO has handed over our Spotlight section to our friends at HBEF so that they can tell you all you need to know about the Skechers Walk and how to register.

Started by our partner’s at HBEF in 2010, HVPTO took over the Annual Back-to-School Picnic in 2016 and we are so excited to host ALL of our HVS families again this year!  We hope to see everyone this Friday, September 23rd from 4:30 – 7 pm on the lawn & blacktop at Hermosa Valley School.  The Picnic is a chance for us to all gather to celebrate the beginning of a new school year, hang out with friends, meet new ones, learn about school and community organizations and enjoy a beautiful fall evening!

School itself might not start for another week, but school events start TOMORROW!

We are excited to see all of our Middle Schoolers at Middle School registration on Monday, all of our staff at the Welcome Luncheon on Wednesday, our TK/K families on Thursday and our Parking Lot fundraiser volunteers starting on Saturday!
