VOLUNTEERS

To make our Carnival a success, we truly need our parent volunteers in full force.

Each grade and class is assigned a different booth or activity for the Halloween Carnival. If a game or activity sits empty, those are funds down the drain. Children are absolutely welcome to work in the game booths (K-4th) with you – they love to be part of the fun!

CARNIVAL FAQs

All you need to know for a fun night!

The HVPTO Halloween Carnival has been a Hermosa staple for over 35+ years! If you have any questions that we don’t address below, please reach out to halloweencarnival@hvpto.com.

Wear them! Kid costumes, adult costumes, family-theme costumes, group costumes – we love them all!

Costumes not your thing? That’s okay too!

It can be! We encourage our younger friends to go in earlier in the evening. Also, feel free to let our volunteers know you need the “light” version!
There is limited parking at Valley School. You can also utilize public parking at City Hall, Clark Field, and the Community Center. We strongly encourage you to walk to the event if you can!
**Food will be available from the vendors pictured above who are providing pizza, burritos, sushi, sandwiches, hot dogs, chicken with rice, twist potatoes, snow cones, popcorn, cotton candy, pretzels, bake sale treats, soda, water and juice!
**You can also bring in your own food & drinks. Please remember that this event is taking place on a school campus and alcohol is not permitted.
There are 2 types of tickets:
** Raffle tickets are $1 each and came home with each student to sell. You can win prizes! See the raffle section above!
** Food & Game tickets are $2 each and can be used to buy food and play games at the Carnival. Only Food & Game tickets are accepted at all booths. Food & Game tickets can be purchased for full price at the event. Pre-event discount packages are available the week before the event at the HVPTO.com Store and at the schools before and after school.
There is no entry fee or ticket to get in! You will need Food & Game tickets to buy food, treats, and drinks, and to play games, try to dunk our school staff at the Dunk Tank, go in the Haunted House, and use the photo booth.

The annual HVPTO Halloween Carnival is open to the whole community!  Kids of all ages, families, friends – all are welcome!

**Make sure to bring your Food & Game tickets if you pre-purchased them (Food & Game tickets bought online will be available at our Will Call table).
**Didn’t pre-buy Food & Game tickets? No problems – bring cash or credit card to purchase at the event!
**We also suggest bringing lawn chairs and/or a blanket as seating is limited.
**Please do NOT bring pets.
