HVPTO Events & Fundraisers
and the Volunteers Who Make Them Happen
HVPTO Events and Fundraisers only happen when we have great volunteers to lead the way. Some of these jobs are quick, can almost run themselves and can be done by one person. Some of the jobs require a lot of planning, managing and a big committee. We have positions that run the gamut and EVERY Event Chair is needed and appreciated.

Below are the Event Chairs for the 2025-2026 school year:
Job Description: Manages relationship with School Supplies & Emergency Kits vendors and delivery of Kits to classrooms.
Job Description: Works with Valley School staff to set up, run and manage volunteers for Middle School Registration.
Job Description: Plans theme & decorates, manages donations, orders food and drinks for the HVPTO-sponsored Welcome Back Luncheon for all HBCSD staff.
Job Description: Organizes school groups, community groups, entertainment and food vendors to participate in the HVS-wide Back to School Picnic.
Job Description: Works with the Photographer and manages customer sign ups for HVPTO’s annual Family Portraits Fundraiser at the Hermosa Beach Pier.
Job Description: Manages all of the Carnival Chairs for the annual HVPTO Halloween Carnival.
Job Description: Works with the Food Vendors and Volunteers for the annual HVPTO Halloween Carnival.
Job Description: Help organize the “Prize Room” – where guests turn in their game “stamps” for game prizes!
Job Description: Manages all things related to food & game ticket sales for HVPTO’s Halloween Carnival
Job Description: Acts as Raffle Lead by coordinating the Halloween Raffle Ticket Event and tracks daily sales at Valley.

Job Description: Tracks Halloween Raffle Ticket sales at View.
Job Description: Solicits prizes for Halloween Raffle from local companies and community members and gets those Prizes to their winners.
Job Description: Judges and invents unique awards for the amazing pumpkin creations from Hermosa View students.

Job Description: Judges and invents unique awards for the amazing pumpkin creations from Hermosa Valley students.
Job Description: Collects leftover and unwanted Halloween candy for Operation Gratitude who sends to US troops.
Job Description: With our Librarians, sets up and helps run Book Fair including managing volunteers.
Job Description: Works with Valley Yearbook team and the Yearbook vendor to help parents put dedications and baby pictures in the Yearbook

Job Description: Works with school staff to bring in Guest Readers for our TK – 5th grade classes.
Job Description: Runs one of HVPTO’s biggest fundraiser, our jog-a-thon, by managing fundraising platform and event set up.
Job Description: Picks theme, manages HVPTO staff appreciation events, and supports View/Vista Room Parents with their staff appreciation efforts.
