Read Across America Week was a success!  A giant thank you to all of our community readers and everyone who donated books for The Children’s Clinic in Long Beach – we donated over 5000 books!

At the suggestion of our principals a couple of years ago, HVPTO piloted a “Lunch Club” program by paying our teachers stipends to come up with fun Lunch Time activities for our students to give them additional options for their lunch break.  The program was immediately successful and HVPTO has been so happy to be able to expand and add the Lunch Club program to our annual budget.  Read this week’s HVS Surf Report for the details on this trimester’s Lunch Club offerings!

Happy New Year!!  The HVS Surf Report is excited to return from Winter Break and bring all you need to know to get 2020 off to a great start at school!

The big news of the week: our Annual Son Fun Party is moving to from the spring trimester to Wednesday, February 12th.  With our event venue, Mulligan’s, closing soon, HVPTO moved the event up in the year to get in one last hurrah!  Keep an eye out for tickets going on sale at the end of January.
