As we head into the end of the school year, HBEF needs our help!  Their Annual Giving Spring Campaign is underway now as they push to bring in those last funds to support our great educational programming for next year.

And… a reminder that we’d love to see everyone this Wednesday, May 26th at Valley Park for a meet-and-greet-and-learn-more about HVPTO and HBEF and their volunteer opportunities for next year.

It is that time of year when we start thinking about summer… and next school year!  Both HVPTO and HBEF are looking for a few brave, amazing, helpful folks who want to get involved!  Big or small, as two volunteer run organizations, we have jobs of all sizes and all skills.  So check out this week’s HVS Surf Report by clicking below for all kinds of different opportunities to get involved.

As things move slowly back to “normal,” changing health protocols are allowing our parents and community to get back to our volunteering ways!  We are testing out “Copy Room Volunteers” at Vista – a limited capacity/limited window to help our teachers with prep work in the copy room.  And we have devised a new drop-off system for Staff Appreciation Week so that we can still show our staff how much we appreciate all that they do!  Click below to read about both chances to get involved!

Last call for Emergency Kits!  Our Middle Schoolers are scheduled to go back to campus on March 29th, and, just like a “normal” year, they will need to bring an Emergency Kit with them.  Is yours expired or you can’t find it after a year?  You can order from the HVPTO Store and it will be delivered directly to your student’s teacher.  The deadline to order is March 31st.

It’s time for Picture Day!!  Pictures will be taken Tuesday, March 16th (Monday’s picture were rain delayed!) at Hermosa View for all TK-2 students and Thursday & Friday, March 18th & 19th for all 3rd – 8th graders at Valley.

• TK – 5th & 6th Grade Cohort B Students at school in-person will be scheduled to take pictures with their classes.
• TK – 2 grade Distance Learners can come Tuesday from 3 – 4 pm to have their pictures taken.
• 3rd – 5th grade Distance Learners, 6th Grade Cohort A and all 7th & 8th Grade students need to sign up for a time slot on Friday, March 19th – click below to learn more and to get the sign up link.
