It’s almost Halloween!  That means HVPTO’s annual Pumpkin Carving Contest, Halloween festivities at our campuses, and HVPTO’s annual Candy Drive!

Come November 1st, clear out your unwanted or extra Halloween Candy and drop it at any of our campuses.  HVPTO is collecting and will donate to a local National Guard unit, as well as our local Ronald McDonald House.

In other news this week, Parent/Teacher Conference start on Friday, November 3rd – along with that comes 5 minimum days (November 3 – 9).  Just in time for that extra afternoon time with your kids… a YUMraiser at Capri Gelato.  So pick up the kids from school and head over to Capri for a delicious treat! You can also grab some tasty pastries for breakfast the next morning. Capri Gelato will donate 15% of sales back to HVPTO. Simply let the server know that you are there for the HVPTO fundraiser before completing your transaction.

October is one of the busiest month’s in the school year.  And, while HVPTO is getting ready for our spookiest FUNdraiser of the year, our friends at HBEF are promoting the Skechers Friendship Pier to Pier Walk!

Did you know that for every $30 registration fee HBEF has traditionally gotten 4 – 6x that amount back for our schools?  It is an easy way to help them raise funds – and you can be a virtual walker if you want to!

It’s the last week of HBEF’s Fall Annual Giving Campaign – from classroom participation contests to an invite to the Fall Cocktail Party, make sure you get those donations in by this Saturday, September 30th!

In other news… The annual HVPTO Halloween Carnival and Raffle is quickly approaching!  Save the date on Friday, October 27th for the Spookiest FUNdraiser of the year and keep an eye out for volunteer and raffle opportunities.

We also have the first YUMraiser of the year this Thursday, September 28 – skip making dinner and enjoy a night out while supporting HVPTO!

This Tuesday marks the last of of this year’s Back to School Nights for Hermosa – we are excited to see our Vista friends!  And, in case you missed the Valley or View Back to School Nights, HVPTO will be selling Spirit Wear and Emergency Kits from 4:45 – 6:30 pm during Vista’s Back to School Night!

HVPTO is excited to kick off the year with our Back to School Picnic this Friday, September 8th from 4:30 – 7 pm at Valley School.  ALL HVS families are invited for an evening of fun, food and community as we celebrate the start of the 2023-24 school year!  And, if you don’t want to pack your own… Don’t forget to pre-order your Fresh Brother’s picnic meal by this Wednesday at the HVPTO.com Store!

We are also excited to see our Valley and View families this week at Back to School Nights – we will be there with Spirit Wear, Emergency Kits and more! Be sure to stop by and say hi!
