Last call for Emergency Kits!  Our Middle Schoolers are scheduled to go back to campus on March 29th, and, just like a “normal” year, they will need to bring an Emergency Kit with them.  Is yours expired or you can’t find it after a year?  You can order from the HVPTO Store and it will be delivered directly to your student’s teacher.  The deadline to order is March 31st.

It’s time for Picture Day!!  Pictures will be taken Tuesday, March 16th (Monday’s picture were rain delayed!) at Hermosa View for all TK-2 students and Thursday & Friday, March 18th & 19th for all 3rd – 8th graders at Valley.

• TK – 5th & 6th Grade Cohort B Students at school in-person will be scheduled to take pictures with their classes.
• TK – 2 grade Distance Learners can come Tuesday from 3 – 4 pm to have their pictures taken.
• 3rd – 5th grade Distance Learners, 6th Grade Cohort A and all 7th & 8th Grade students need to sign up for a time slot on Friday, March 19th – click below to learn more and to get the sign up link.

HVS Surf Report Spotlight

“HVPTO knows there is nothing “normal” about our “new normal”. It’s been a struggle for all of us. But we do know our kids’ school days are made a bit better because of the wonderful online programs (like BrainPOP and Scholastic) they’re able to access. Or because of our teacher’s ability to Zoom with no time limits. Or the fun and engaging lunch clubs that are still happening virtually. Did you know that these are just some of the things that HVPTO funds each year?

Since its introduction 7 years ago, the Dolphin Dash has grown to become HVPTO’s largest fundraiser, with the Halloween Carnival following closely behind. Together both events have raised well over $100,000 a year while engaging our kids, families and the community in memory-making fun. And all that money goes right back to our schools to give our kids and teachers the extras they deserve. But this year is obviously different, we missed the last Dolphin Dash and Halloween Carnival, so we need everyone’s help now more than ever. HVPTO is still paying for so many awesome programs, but unfortunately, we haven’t been able to rely on the same fundraising events.

Luckily this year’s Dolphin Dash officially kicks off TODAY! Every donation (and share) counts, so please continue sharing your link on social media with the tag #HVSDolphinDash2021. By sharing the link, kids will be able to continue collecting raffle tickets for chances to win a new iPad, custom Vans, Adidas gift cards, and other awesome goodies!”
