Mark your calendars, Middle School Registration is Thursday, August 14th!

8th Grade: 9:00am – 10:00am  (9:00 A-G, 9:15 H-N, 9:30 O-Z)

7th Grade: 10:00am – 11:00am  (10:00 A-G, 10:15 H-N, 10:30 O-Z)

6th Grade: 11:00am – 12:00pm (11:00 A-G, 11:15 H-N, 11:30 O-Z)

Returning Student Registration forms MUST be completed in PowerSchool prior to attending Middle School Registration. Please refer to the previous email sent by Principal Bledsoe or CLICK HERE for instructions on how to complete these forms in PowerSchool.

HBCSD, HVPTO and HBEF will host tables during the registration process. Remember to bring checkbooks, cash or credit cards to registration as some stations offer opportunities to make optional donations or purchase items.

HVPTO is only as good as our volunteers… and this year, we had great ones!

Thank you to all who gave time, money, showed up to our events, and generally support HVPTO and our mission this year.

This last HVS Surf Report for the year recaps the year in HVPTO, as well as honoring our annual Dolphin Award winners, with thanks to all our Event chairs, room parents, and those who helped at our last events of the year.

Happy last week of school!

HVPTO is honored to bring you the HVS Surf Report during the school year.; we’ll be back on August 19th for the 2025-26 school year.  But in the meantime, keep an eye out later this week and over the summer for “SRE”s – Surf Report Extras!

HVPTO’s mission is to enhance and enrich the educational experience of HBCSD students and we are honored to host & sponsor many events throughout the year in pursuit of this mission.  One of the best, most fun, and memorable is our annual View & Vista Field Days!  This week View and Vista students get to participate in a bunch of silly challenges and we need YOUR help to make the event the best it can be!  Click below to learn more and to sign up to run one of our crazy stations – its not just memorable for the kiddos!

The Parking Lot Fundraiser is almost here, taking place from May 24-26. This annual event is crucial for raising over $12,000 to support our schools. We are seeking volunteers for just two hours of your time to make a significant impact. Additionally, middle schoolers can earn service points for their contributions. Interested in a leadership role? We are looking for a Day Chair to oversee one day of the event. Join us in supporting education and community engagement.

Staff Appreciation Week is set for next week, May 5-9, offering a wonderful opportunity to recognize our dedicated teachers and staff. We invite families to contribute breakfast items and write notes to their teachers and any other staff who help make their HVS experience “OZ”some!

In other happenings:

• We are looking for parents and middle school students to participate in the Memorial Day Weekend Parking Lot fundraiser, aimed at raising $12,000 for our schools.
• Families can prepare for the next academic year by ordering school supply kits through 1st Day School Supplies.
• Don’t miss the Hearts of Hermosa gala and various flash parties to support our educational initiatives.
• The Grades of Green team is looking for co-chairs for next year.
