Hermosa View at Vista and Hermosa Valley students will again get to participate in The Sandy Hook’s Promise national Start with Hello week this year!
Start with Hello teaches students, grades K-8, the skills they need to reach out to and include those who may be dealing with chronic social isolation and create a culture of inclusion and connectedness within their classroom, school or youth organization.
Join Hermosa Valley and Vista Schools for fun and inclusive school-wide activities every day starting Sept. 20.
- MONDAY – Start With Hello Kickoff -Start your week right with greetings and positive messages from your admin team. Learn about how we can be inclusive and build a happy and safe community.
- TUESDAY – Take the Pledge to #Startwithhello: “Inclusivi-tree” – Take the pledge by adding your hand to our “Inclusivi-tree”
- WEDNESDAY- Mid-week Kindness – Fill out a greeting and pass it on to someone you don’t know to have a chance to win a prize – Raffle on Friday
- THURSDAY – Mix it up at Lunch – Talk to someone you don’t know at lunch and get to know them with a fun game of “Would you Rather”
- FRIDAY – Green Day – Wear green and take a selfie in the “Photo Booth” with a new friend!
