DESCRIPTION:Please join HBCSD for “Drug Addiction – It’s All in Your Brain” to learn about the brain & drug addiction. \nMAY 12\, 2022 from 4:00 TO 5:00 PM ON ZOOM! \nThis program provides scientific information about the disease\, including the many harmful consequences of drug abuse. \nPresenter Victor DeNoble\, Ph.D.\, was hired by the Philip Morris Tobacco Company in the 1980’s to research and study the effects of nicotine on the brain and was later fired because of what his studies revealed. DESCRIPTION:HBCSD has scheduled two Transitional Kindergarten/Kindergarten Informational Parent Meetings for interested families to attend on Wednesday\, January 26 (via Zoom) or Wednesday\, February 16 (in-person) from 6:00-7:30 PM. Click here to view the flyer and register to attend.\n\nTransitional Kindergarten (TK) is offered to students in our community that are not eligible to be in Kindergarten (must be turning five on or before September 2\, 2022). Students are eligible for the 2022-2023 school year to enroll in our full-day TK Program if they are turning five years old on or between September 2\, 2022-February 2\, 2023. TK/K will be offered at our updated Hermosa View School reopening in August 2022. There is also before and after child care with STAR Education at our Hermosa school sites.\n\nAt the TK/K Informational Parent Meetings\, HBCSD will discuss our full-day TK/K curriculum and differences\, eligibility for enrollment\, registration process\, STAR Education (before and after school care)\, interdistrict permits\, our updated/new schools\, volunteer opportunities with the HVPTO & HBEF\, and why we are the Best Little School District in the South Bay.
