Dining for Dolphins

What’s new with Dining for Dolphins?  A new month schedule and a special one night only event!  Visit on Tuesdays - La Playita (20%), Wednesdays - Paciugo Gelato (10% all day), Thursdays - Sangria (20%) and Fridays - Planet Earth Eco Café (20% from 5:00-8:00 p.m.).  Click here for flyer.  Plus on Wednesday, March 24th come to the Dining for Dolphins AdventurePlex Night!  Click here for more details.  As always, don’t forget to mention “Hermosa Schools” or write it on your receipts so we get the credit. 

 

Community Service Book Drive

THE BOOK DRIVE IS COMING!!!  The Annual HVPTO’s Community Service Book Drive begins on March 22nd, 2010!  Start cleaning out those bookshelves and setting aside gently used books for this effort.  Books will be collected in boxes in each classroom and delivered to the Long Beach Children's Clinic which serves some of the most severely disadvantaged and disabled children in Los Angeles County.

March with the HVPTO/HBEF in the HB St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The HVPTO and HBEF are continuing in their tradition of marching in the Hermosa Beach St. Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday March 13th!  Click here for flyer.  All school families are welcome to march!  Come dressed in green attire and/or school shirts and bring candy to pass out to spectators.  Candy donations can also be dropped off at either school office.  We look forward to seeing you there!

HVPTO Volunteer Opportunities
The HVPTO is in search of the next…HVPTO Co-President!  If you are a wonderful and energetic person who is interested in getting involved and leading the HVPTO for the next school year, then we want to hear from you!  No experience necessary.  You learn as you go and get to meet and be a part of an amazing group of parents, teachers and staff at both schools.  We are also still looking for a 6th & 7th Grade Spirit Day Chair to coordinate the day on Tuesday, June 22.
